Today, we’re starting our reading of the text The Structure of Scientific Revolutions. You will be expected to take notes on the material you’ve read. Remember to make sure that you always meet these expectations as you read:
2. your comparison of the passage to your prior learning or experience 3. the ramifications of the author’s idea in the passage (‘then what?’) 4. the implications of the author’s idea in the passage (‘so what?’) Additionally, there will also be in-class discussion notes on the ideas/questions that students generate (and I may add) as we work through the text. In regards to the final step of your EE reflections on Managebac. Remember ALL three of your EE Reflections should be completed on Managebac by tomorrow so Mr. Wilder can convert it to a PDF and send it to you. Once you receive the PDF from Wilder – send that along to your EE Adviser so that they have it before your Viva Voce meeting. Please read through this handout on the upcoming TOK presentation and look at the IB site as I believe you have access to two sample presentations. Just a quick note... please bring your laptop to class whenever it is we finally go back to school; we will be doing a few things in Managebac to finish up our TOK Essay. If you don't have one, no worries, I have laptop carts checked out - but know some of you prefer your own. Additionally, if you find yourself with a lot of free time... in preparation for the upcoming TOK Presentation (the final third of your TOK grade), check out the following presentation software possibilities linked below. Good ol' PowerPoint may not be your best option for the presentation, so you might want to have some other formats in mind! :) Canva Haiku Deck Hope you are all enjoying your SNOW DAY! We worked in the Lab for the period today. I gave out each Diploma Candidate’s credentials in class, please keep track of this information as you will need it for multiple pieces, including getting your results this summer. If you were absent, please make sure you have both essays turned in electronically to the appropriate site/inbox before 10pm tonight. We can sort out your credentials when you are back in class next week, but you need to do it right when you get back.
If you have your credentials, please upload both essays after you have done the steps below to eCoursework (see the directions on the button on this website). Additionally, complete the 3rd-final reflection for your EE on ManageBac, download it to a PDF and send it to your EE Advisor before you have your viva voce.
